Scott City volleyball second at Oakley
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City volleyball team put together a good day Saturday, taking home second place at the Oakley Invitational Tournament.
In pool play, the Lady Beavers swept through their opponents, defeating Goodland 25-22, 25-15, Wheatland/Grinnell 25-16, 25-17 and Quinter 25-16, 25-19.
Their semi-finals match against Oakley also went in straight sets, winning 25-13, 25-17. The Lady Beavers would move to the high school for their championship match against the Colby Lady Eagles. Both teams were 4-0 entering the finals match. The Lady Eagles would win 25-15, 25-22.
Scott City is now 13-7 on the year, and will compete in their second GWAC event of the year on Thursday, where they’ll face Colby and Goodland in Colby.
