Scott City volleyball picks up another win
Colby, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Playing in their second quadrangular in three days, the youth-filled Scott City Lady Beaver squad took to the court on Thursday in Colby. And for the second time this week, the Lady Beavers go 1-2 in a quadrangular.
Their lone win of the day came against the Oakley Lady Plainsmen, as they picked up a 25-13, 25-18 win. Scott City also faced Colby and Hoxie, and fell to the Lady Eagles 25-17, 25-11 and to the Lady Indians 25-10, 25-9.
After Thursday, Scott City is 2-7 on the year.
Saturday, the Lady Beavers will participate in the Liberal Invitational. Scott City will be in the White Pool and faces Ulysses at 8:30 am on Court 4. Also in their pool is Emporia and Liberal JV. Liberal, Wichita Southeast, Hugoton and Meade are in the Red Pool, while Dodge City, Colby, Pratt and Southwestern Heights are in the Black Pool.
