Scott City volleyball ends season in Norton
Norton, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The season for Scott City came to an end on Monday in Norton in the Class 3A Regional. A new format for Class 3A and below saw four teams head to Norton, with the top two adavancing in to sub-state play on Saturday.
Scott City would go 1-2 on the day on Monday. Their first match was against Lakin, as the Lady Broncs took a 25-19, 25-14 victory. In their next match, Norton would be the opponent, as they fall to the Bluejays 25-23, 25-17. In their final match of the day, the Lady Beavers would close the day and season out with a win, defeating Larned 25-12, 25-12.
Norton defeated Lakin 23-25, 25-22, 25-20 to win the region. Norton will play Colby in Beloit on Saturday in sub-state semi-final, while Lakin takes on Holcomb in the Hoisington sub-state semi-final round. Hoisington is the top seed in the sub-state, while Beloit is the second seed.
Scott City finishes their year at 17-21.
