Scott City tennis places second in Hoisington

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Lady Beaver tennis team continued their busy stretch on Tuesday, taking part in the Hoisington Invititational. Overall, it was their highest finish so far in the three tournaments they’ve competed in, placing second.

Central Plains won with 24 points, while Scott City had 22 and Osborne was third with 21.

The doubles teams finished the highest, with both placing second. That included the No. 1 Doubles Team of Brenda Aguirre/Emily Glenn and the No. 2 team of Dallie Metheny/Yami Sanchez. Abbie LeBeau finished third at No. 1 Singles, as did Cynthia Gonzalez at No. 2 Singles.

Up next will be a trip to Ulysses on Thursday, and the Phillipsburg Invitational on Tuesday, September 12.
