Scott City tennis 3rd at Ellsworth
Ellsworth, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Lady Beaver tennis team made their first of two trips to Ellsworth this week, as they competed in the Ellsworth Tournament on Tuesday.
With a reshuffled lineup, the Lady Beavers took third place as a team out of seven teams. Clay Center won the meet with 26 points, while Ellsworth was second with 22, and Scott City was third with 20 points.
Taking first was Mallorie Cupp at No. 1 Singles, while Madison Roberts was third at No. 2 Singles. The No. 2 Doubles team of Ximena Garcia/Haileigh Hickert finished third, and the No. 1 Singles team of Kennedy Wasinger/Tatum Wells finished in seventh place.
Scott City will return to Ellsworth on Thursday, and compete in the GWAC Invitational on Monday.
