Scott City takes down Cimarron in final dual before regionals

Cimarron, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In their final competition before regionals next week, Scott City made the trip to Cimarron to battle the Bluejays on Thursday night in Cimarron. Also mixed in once again were the exhibition matches between the Scott City Wrestling Club and Gray County Wrestling Club, as the future high school wrestlers were able to use the whole mat.
Scott City won seven of the eight head to head matches in a 58-16 dual win over the Bluejays to finish with a 3-2 dual record. The Beavers would win three weight classes by forfeit, and out of their seven wins, six were by fall. Cimarron won two weight classes by forfeit and won their lone match by major decision.
Scott City heads to the Class 4A Regional in Abilene on Saturday, February 22, while Cimarron will host a 3-2-1A Regional on Saturday, February 22.
