Scott City sweeps GWAC Cross Country titles

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Thursday was the final tuneup for all the runners in the Great West Activities Conference Cross Country meet, held outside of Scott City at Camp Christy. Runners were put through a challenging 5k course and had good weather to run in. In the end, the Scott City boys and girls would sweep the GWAC titles.

The Lady Beavers defended their league title, while the boys won their first league title.

Next Saturday, October 26, the teams will compete at regionals. Colby, Goodland, Holcomb and Scott City will head to the Class 3A, Norton Regional, Hugoton is going to the Class 3A Regional at Lake Afton and Ulysses heads to the Class 4A Regional at Buhler.
