Scott City holds volleyball camp
(Scott City) (westernkansasnews.com)–About 20 incoming freshman through senior volleyball players attended the two-day camp at Scott Community High School Monday and Tuesday. The camp ran from 9-12 and 1-3 pm both days, and was conducted by Ft. Hays State University head coach Kurt Kohler, along with coaching staff and players from the Lady Tigers squad. Players were able to fine tune their fundamentals and work on drills during the first two days. The middle school volleyball players also held their camp from 3-5:30 Monday and Tuesday.
Scott City will once again be coached by Jordan Shay, who will enter her third season as the Lady Beavers Head Coach. Kelli Eisenhour will be the junior varsity head coach, and C-Team coach will be Lori Murphy. The Lady Beavers lose four seniors, three that were varsity players, from a team that went 26-12 in 2011.
The season begins Tuesday, August 28, when Scott City hosts a triangular with Ness City and Dighton.
