Scott City girls golf seeing youth movement

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In its third year back, the Scott City Lady Beaver golf team looks as if it is in its first season. 

After qualifying an individual for the Class 4A State Golf Tournament last fall, the 2017 season will feature only one returning golfer, and three total players. Two of the three are freshman, with one having prior course experience. 

For the first time since reviving the program, Scott City will have a full schedule. Rebecca Downing also returns as the head coach, entering her third year as the Lady Beaver coach.
