Scott City girls golf fourth at Goodland

Goodland, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Wrapping up a busy week, the Scott City girls golf team made the trip to Goodland on Thursday to compete at the Goodland Invitational at Sugar Hills Golf Course. It was a rescheduled date from September 8. 

After placing third as a team on Monday at Oakley and third at Ulysses on Tuesday, Scott City placed fourth overall. Colby won the meet with a score of 395 and Goodland was second with a score of 431, Cimarron was third with a team round of 432, while Scott City was fourth with a round of 449. 

Two of the Lady Beavers were Top 15 medalists, as Olivia Wagner was 13th with a score of 106 and Paige Prewit placed 14th, shooting an 18-hole round of 107. Brylie Bennet shot a 116, Tori Ford 120, Hannah Faurot 125 and Judy Wiebe had a score of 129. 

Scott City will compete at the Colby Invitational on Monday, and will host their own meet on Thursday, September 24.
