Scott City doubles team finishes seventh at 3-2-1A State Tennis
Wichita, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–For a second consecutive year, Scott City has a placer in state on the Doubles side.
Saturday wrapped up the Class 3-2-1A State Tennis meet held at Riverside Tennis Complex in Wichita.
Kansas City Christian and Sacred Heart out of Salina would finish as co-champions with 22 points apiece and Ellsworth was third with 10 points. Scott City tied for 10th with three points.
The doubles team of Sadie Hermosillo/Bella Myers would go 1-1 on Saturday, taking seventh place. They dropped their first match of the day to Karik Elliott/Lena Rauschholz of Smoky Valley 9-7, but bounced back in their seventh place match, by defeating Lucy Boyles/Haylee Osner in a tiebreaker 9-8 (12-10). For Hermosillo/Myers, it would be their second consecutive state placing, after finishing ninth last year.
