Scott City defeats Holcomb in Senior Night dual
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–On Senior Night at Scott Community High School on Tuesday, the Scott City Beavers took to the mats one final time this season in their own confines, as they hosted league foe Holcomb. The Longhorns, who have shown improvement in their numbers and talent since reinstating wrestling in the 2006-07 season, were no match in the end against the No. 10 team in Class 3-2-1A Scott City 51-24.
In only seven of the matches wrestled, five were won by Scott City, four coming via fall. Holcomb both of their matches wrestled by falls. The Beavers won four by forfeit, while Holcomb won two. Both teams were open at 113.
