The Science of Roadwork
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Never has doing road work been so scientific. KDOT will be checking on any potential problems later this week on K-96 in Wichita County in Scott County East of Scott City, K-95 near Scott Lake and K-25 north of Leoti by using this gadget.
Kirk Hutchinson with K-DOT says they will typically check the strength of the road at least one a year. A pilot car and flaggers will direct traffic around these areas.
