Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Since the return of girls golf in 2015, the Scott City girls golf team has been low in numbers. Over the last two seasons, the lineup has increased, but nowhere near this year’s numbes. For the first time since reviving the program, Scott City will be in double digits, as 14 players comprise of the 2020 team.

While they haven’t had a state qualifer in the last three seasons, optimism has grown over the past season. There were no seniors on last years team, and three return from a squad that’s looking to surprise some people this year.

Michelle Lightner returns for her second season as the head coach.

There is a bit of a change in the schedule this year. Scott City will have a full varsity schedule, which includes their first home meet since the return of the program.
