School’s Mill Levy to Drop For Garden City Taxpayers
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) With the recent resolution of the school equity funding battle, USD 457 in Garden City plans to reduce the mill levy 3.16 for next year. Superintendent Doctor Steve Karlin thinks it beats the alternative the legislature passed at the beginning of the year.
School District Public Information Coordinator Roy Cessna says that is not all.
At Monday night’s school board meeting the district also presented a resolution supporting law enforcement. Representatives from the city police, sheriff’s office and state highway patrol were on hand to receive the proclamation of gratitude.
