Schmitt Named New Commander at KS National Guard Center on GCCC Campus
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A Scott City native will take over in commanding the new Taskforce Broncbuster the Kansas Army National Guard training center on the Garden City Community College Campus.
Maj. Kristi Schmitt was commissioned into the Kansas Army National Guard in 2006 and attended Officer Basic Course and Captains Career Course at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. The past 10 years she has served in the Kansas Medical Detachment under 69th Troop Command as a nurse practitioner in Lenexa.
