No Savings For Taxpayers in Changing Municipal Elections to Fall

Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The push is moving forward to switch local municipal elections from the spring to the fall. Supporters ideally give the argument that’ll increase voter turnout. Secretary of State Kris Kobach knows one area were making the change would fall short is saving taxpayers any money.

 

Kobach essentially calls it a wash. The secretary also answers critics of creating local partisan elections.

The Senate already narrowly passed the bill.
