San Diego takes series finale from Colorado
San Diego, Cali. (westernkansasnews.com)–The San Diego Padres got a single by Will Venable, scoring Everth Cabrera, helped the Padres rally to defeat the Colorado Rockies 3-2 Sunday to take the final game of the series and win two out of three in the series. Colorado got rbi hits from Marco Scutaro and DJ LeMahieu in the first two innings to have an early lead, that didn’t hold up. Starter Christian Friedrich gave up two runs in five innings. Reliever Adam Ottavino took the loss for Colorado. The Rockies will begin a series in Arizona tonight. Recently acquired Jonathan Sanchez is scheduled to make his Colorado debut, while the Diamondbacks will send Ian Kennedy to the hill in an 8:40 central time start at Chase Field in Phoenix.
