Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas Campaign begins this week
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Holiday season is here which means holiday traditions. One long standing tradition is the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign. The Dodge City Salvation Army is seeking volunteer bell ringers for Nov 22 through Dec 23.
Volunteers can select hours based on their own schedules between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Go to registertoring.com to sign up or call the office at 225-4871.
Wednesday Nov. 22 the Salvation Army will be holding their Red Kettle Kickoffs in both Garden City and Dodge City. In Garden the event will be at the Dillon’s at 1305 E Kansas and in Dodge it will be at the Dillon’s at 1700 N 14th Ave.
The Special Guest in Garden will be Representative John Wheeler and in Dodge it will be Mayor Rick Sowers. The kickoff donations will be matched in Garden by St. Catherine’s hospital and in Dodge by Fidelity State Bank. Free hot dogs to the first 100 people at each location. Free hot chocolate and popcorn all afternoon.
