Safety Top Priority in Handling Last Week’s Social Media Threat

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) In the aftermath of last week’s incident where one Garden City High School student threatened another prompting extra patrols on campus, USD 457 Public Information Coordinator Roy Cessna believes everyone can learn by what happened and who to approach first if something like this is spotted again on social media.

Cessna believes the district reacted correctly once informed about what took place.

Cessna thinks the situation underscores that our society is now living in a digital age where anything talked about can get out quickly.
