Royals pick up much needed win over Los Angeles
Anaheim, Calif. (westernkansasenws.com)–Will Smith gave up one run in seven innings on the mound for Kansas City, as the Royals get a much needed win over the Los Angeles Angels 4-1 Tuesday night. Lorenzo Cain hit a two-run home run in the first inning, and Alex Gordon drove in a run and had three hits. Jonathan Broxton picked up his 23rd save of the season. Kansas City will go for the series win this afternoon, as Luke Hochevar will face the Angels’ Jared Weaver in a 2:35 first pitch at Angels Stadium of Anaheim.
