Royals complete sweep of Tampa Bay
Kansas City, MO (westernkansasnews.com)–Billy Butler’s eighth inning solo home run proved to be the game winner for the Kansas City Royals, as they completed the sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays with a 5-4 victory. KC built up a 4-0 lead after five innings, thanks to a two-run single by Yuniesky Betancourt. Tampa Bay picked up a pair of runs in the sixth and eighth innings to tie the game at four. Mike Moustakas and Alcides Escobar connected on solo shots as well. Topeka native Aaron Crow picked up his first win of the season and Jonathan Broxton got the save. The Royals have Thursday off before heading to Minnesota to play four games in three days beginning Friday evening.
