Rosa was born in her Parent’s farmhouse in Barton County and then the family moved to Trego County to farm. She attended school in Trego County and was confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church. She worked for several families in Wakeeney and moved to Garden City around 1934. She was a nanny for the Gillespie Family and later the Penney Family. After her marriage she was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 Sister- Viola Herdt, 1Brother- Clarence Wilhelm, who was MIA during the Korean Conflict, and 1 Grandson- Eric Mai.
