Red Demons Begin Countdown to Season Opener

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)  In talking with the Dodge City Red Demon girls and boys basketball players and coaches they feel there is some unfinished business this year.  

The girls went 15-7 in winning the WAC championship last season while the boys finished 12-10 and have gone back to back year falling short of winning conference after taking first place four straight from 2010-13.  One thing that both team feel will give them the edge this year is experience as both squads bring back a full complement of players.

The teams will be on display Tuesday night from 6-8 for their intrasquad scrimmage at the Fieldhouse.  Freshman begin at 6, girls varsity at 7 and boys varsity at 7:30. The season opener is next Saturday against Junction City.
