Red Demon Wrestlers Take Care of Visiting Hays

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) If there was any sense of concern after Hays opened up a 9-0 lead in Thursday night’s dual wrestling meet with Dodge City it did not show.

The Indians could not field competitors at 195 and 220 pounds.  That is an automatic six points each and after the slow start Dodge City dominated to a 60-8 win at the high school Field House , continuing to build on the momentum they gained by upsetting number one ranked Garden City a week earlier 34-29.

Since that win over Garden City, Dodge has had tournament championship win at Maize, moved from fifth to third in the state rankings and dominated Hays.  During the match Dodge City finished with five pins of Hays wrestlers accounting for half of the Red Demons total points.
