Red Demon Soccer, Volleyball and Golf Thursday recap
Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Thursday was a busy and productive day for Dodge City High School Athletics.
The boys soccer team beat Wichita North 4-1 to improve to 3-0 and advance to the Finals of the Titan Classic on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Wichita South against Bishop Carrol(2-0-1). Leading the way for the Red Demons was Cesar Alvarez, Alan Lopez, Josue Castillo and Mario Martinez, who each scored one goal.
Dodge City girls golf also hosted the Dodge City Invitational at Mariah Hills. Individually Chesney Moore finished 8th shooting a 101. The Lady Red Demons finished seventh out of 12 teams shooting a 444. Garden City won the tournament shooting a 392.
The Lady Red Demon volleyball team hosted a quad with Hays, Lakin and Sublette and won two of three matches. Dodge City beat Lakin in straight sets 25-16 and 25-17, topped Sublette 25-15 and 25-18 and fell to Hays in straight sets 25-20 and 25-16. The Lady Red Demons are now 3-9 this season.
