Recreation Commission’s Deficit Eradicated
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Last year Garden City Commissioners loaned the Recreation Commission 386-thousand dollars to balance their books. One year later the financial picture looks a lot better. Rec Superintendent Aaron Stewart says the move to move several properties owned by the Rec has resulted in a zero balance.
Keeping programs solvent and increasing membership is key to the recs future. We will have that part of the story tomorrow.
