Reaction to Watson’s Hiring as Education Commissioner
Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Late last week the State Board of Education hired McPherson Superintendent Randy Watson to become the next education commissioner in the state of Kansas. Board chair Jana Shaver is confident Watson brings the right experience to the job.
The belief is having Kansas roots will help Watson.
Not everyone was happy. Sally Cauble of Dodge City and the Vice-chair of the State Board of Education wasn’t convinced Watson had the right experience.
Still Cauble is convinced Watson brings one outstanding quailty to the job.
Doctor Watson will begin his new job next summer.
