Mike graduated from high school in Ravenna, Nebraska and started working for the Kansas Department Of Transportation Road Department. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was on an Aircraft Recovery Team. After his discharge he moved to Garden City and drove a truck for C.F. McGraw Trucking and Hapes Trucking. He then opened Mike’s Tavern in Garden City. After selling the Tavern he started R.W. Hunsberger Trucking where he brokered grain and hauled grain and processed feed to area feedlots. He enjoyed taking pictures as he drove the highways and taking care of his dogs. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, 2 Brothers- Harlen Hunsberger & Glen Hunsberger & 2 Sisters- Margie Malick & Ilene Mason.
