The Question for GCCC: Is Bigger Better?

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Dodge City Community College has company when discussing a big change. Preliminary talks are underway for Garden City Community College and others to start a Western Kansas Community College System. GCCC President Doctor Herbert Swender is open to hearing more.

Doctor Swender does not want to mess with what works.

This year GCCC is one of only two community colleges in Kansas where enrollment is up. Swender has already asked for feedback from the college’s faculty.  Doctor Swender is pleased that they’re in a position of strength to explore this possibility.

Do not be surprised.

Swender knows there are a lot of details to iron out before anything is decided.
