Putting Out the Fire–Firefighter Training Over the Weekend in Holcomb
Holcomb, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Imagine being trapped in a fire while a group of firefighters attempt to save your life. Two hundred dedicated firefighters participated in state training this weekend at Holcomb High School. Odds are that the training Holcomb Fire Captain Justin Rogers and others like him received will eventually be put to use.
To illustrate how fast they have to be. Firefighters typically put on equipment between 40-70 pounds in a little less than a minute.
