President Obama Makes Disaster Declaration

(westernkansasnews.com) President Barack Obama has signed a federal disaster declaration freeing up some federal funds to help Southwest Kansas with repairs from storms in both May and June.  The money will zero in on repairs to infrastructure and some services done from tornadoes and high gusty winds.  Utility companies alone estimated the damage in hundreds of thousands.  Counties eligible for assistance include Gray, Meade, Hodgeman, Haskell and Stevens.
