Power Outages, Road Update and Snowfall Amounts
(westernkansasnews.com) In phone calls to both Wheatland Electric and Victory Electric both power co-ops report power outages Sunday in Dodge City, Garden City. Ingalls, Scott City, Holcomb, Pierceville and Leoti. At one point 42 thousand customers were without power because of this storm. An update on the latest number still without power is expected sometime this morning. Counties are reporting downed trees and powerlines. Please keep clear of these areas and report them if they are spotted.
*****Road and Travel****
I 70 is now open snowpack parts of Western Kansas have been reported from mile markers 53 to 75 (or just east of the Oakley exit).
Most roads and highways west of Garden City are closed to ALL traffic. Authorities are telling residents in most counties throughout our listening area to stay off the roads for your safety and the safety of the KDOT road crews so they can do what they can to use their treatments on the pavement. Travel could also become dangerous tonight as the roads tend to refreeze.

All roads in Southwest Kansas have reopened except for:
- US-160 from Johnson City to the Kansas/Colorado State Line
- US-51 from K-27 to the Kansas/Colorado State Line
