Power Knocked Out to Neighborhood Tuesday Morning
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Power has been restored to the Southwind neighborhood after a malfunction occurred at one of Wheatland electric’s substation. Company spokesman Phillip Shelley says a lightning arrester went out. Stacey emphasized there was not any lightning, but that component absorbs the high voltage from a lightning strike failed.
