Powell: GC Airport Approaching Another Record; Improvements to Be Discussed

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Every year since 2012 when Garden City Regional Airport added American Airlines service to Dallas they have set a record for passengers served. Airport Director Rachelle Powell says the same is expected to occur this year.

This high number has sparked discussion of expanding service.

Powell believes it could be mid to late next year before we will know about adding to the existing service already offered at the airport.  

Garden City Regional Airport has plans to lay the groundwork for what will greet residents and visitors alike in the years to come.  Powell on what they have in mind.

The exact cost of the terminal improvement project is undetermined, but the good news is the public will have a say.
