Potts Earns Special Teaching Award

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Garden City schools were back in session Wednesday from the long holiday break. Andy Potts, a seventh grade science teacher from Kenneth Henderson Middle School received a pleasant surprise on his return when he was notified of winning the Kansas Horizon Award for doing an exemplary job during their first year of teaching.

Potts is making the most of his career change.

Only 32 first year teachers statewide received the Horizon Award.
