Police Close Murder Investigation After Information Verifies Suspect’s Death
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A murder investigation that has been open since 1994 has been closed by the Garden City Police Department upon receiving notification the suspect has died. 62 year old Jesus Nuno was wanted for the murder of Javier Gonzales and the attempted murder of his wife Magarita Nuno.
Jesus Nuno was last spotted in Borger, Texas back in 1997 and was believed to have fled into Mexico. After verifying the information with a family member a death certificate was produced stating that Nuno died on June 13, 2015 and has since been buried. Investigators have officially closed the case and notified the victim’s family of Nuno’s death.
