Police: When to Close In?

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Before you get behind the wheel there are rules of the road you have to remember. For those that fail  those rules and will not stop for law enforcement, sometimes it necessitates chasing down a suspect.

Garden City Police Chief James Hawkins emphasizes safety is always the top priority. There are times that police may decide to continue the chase if they consider the suspect dangerous.

Hawkins says if they decide to call off a pursuit, officers can always catch up with a suspect at a later time.
