Police: Attempted Kidnapping; Officer Struck in Bar Incident
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Saturday afternoon shortly after 12:30, officers were called out to the Goodwill Store at 2005 East Schulman Avenue. An unidentified Hispanic man wearing a blue bandana, black hat, green plaid shirt, and blue jeans entered the store and purchased a television. A store employee helped take the suspect outside to the man’s van and put the tv in, but while doing that was pushed into the vehicle.
The worker escaped and fled back into the store. The victim did not report the incident until the suspect entered the store a second time. Police are asking for your help in this case.

Early Sunday morning shortly before 2, police were called out to Samy’s by the Clarion Inn for a disturbance happening outside the bar. As officers approached two suspects they deemed had been unruly, family members and friends of the suspects began to push back.
One officer was struck during the incident, but there were no serious injuries. Backup was provided by the Finney County Sheriff’s Department. 29 year old Luis Nunez of Garden City is facing a battery charge, 30 year old Jason Archuleta is expected to be charged with battery, interference with a police officer, disorderly conduct and making a criminal threat.
