Phyllis Gaye Lindeman

Phyllis Gaye Lindeman, 75, died January 19, 2015 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was born on November 28, 1939 in Protection, the daughter of Tence and Leatha (Prilliman) Percifield. 

Phyllis grew up in Protection, graduating from Protection High School in 1957. In November of 1982, she married Jack Lindeman in Clayton, New Mexico. He survives. They lived in Boise City, Oklahoma before moving to Sublette to help care for Jack’s mother. Phyllis later went on to attend Seward County Community College, receiving her Associates Degree in Nursing in 1997. She worked as an RN at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit for many years. In 2012, they moved to Tonkawa to be closer to family. Phyllis enjoyed camping with her family and crocheting. 

In addition to her husband Jack, Phyllis is survived by six daughters, Tonia Comer of Liberal, Wydene Terrell and husband Howard, Julia Houdyshell, Sharel Campbell and companion Terry Butterfield all of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Linda Fullerton and husband Bruce of Satanta and Deby Craddock of Inola, Oklahoma; two sons, Keenon Comer of Tonkawa, Oklahoma and Greg Lindeman and wife Linda of Wamego; three brothers, Jim Percifield and wife Mavis of Wichita, Wade Percifield and wife Kathy of Toronto, and Bill Percifield and wife Sandy of Keyes, Oklahoma; one sister Marge Wilmarth and husband Nick of Keyes, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Darlene Percifield. 

Funeral service will be held at Sublette Christian Church on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Pastor David Erwin presiding. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from Noon to 8:00 P.M.. Memorials are suggested to the North Central Hospice of Ponca City or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
