Phuoc Hong Nguyen

Phuoc Hong Nguyen, age 86, formerly of Garden City, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 Sarasota, Florida.  He was born on January 1, 1928 in An Giang, Vietnam the son of Mau Van Ngo and Long Thi Tran and he was a farmer. 

He was a member of the Catholic Faith.

On September 19, 1951 he married Da Thi “Teresa” Nguyen in Vietnam.  She died February 1, 2013 in Garden City, Kansas.

Survivors include: Four Sons, Father Francis Khoi Nguyen of Hugoton, Kansas, Len Van Nguyen of Garden City, Kansas, Tieng Thanh Nguyen of Garden City, Kansas and Phuc Hong Nguyen of Sarasota, Florida; Three Daughters, Hien Thi Nguyen of Sarasota, Florida, Thuc Thi Nguyen of Vietnam and Mai Chi Thi of Wichita, Kansas; Nine Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren.

Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.

Friends may call from 10:00am until 5:00pm on Friday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the Diocesan Seminarian Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
