Paul V. Rupp
Paul V. Rupp, age 95, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Kearny County Hospital in Lakin, Kansas. He was born on September 27, 1918 in Ness County, Kansas the son of Joseph & Katherine Dechant Rupp. A resident of Garden City since 1945, he was the owner & operator of Rupp Radiator Service and was a WWII, U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Rupp was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Eagles Lodge, American Legion, VFW and Southwind Country Club, all of Garden City, KS.
On August 12, 1947 he married Abbie M. Herrman in LaCrosse, Kansas. She passed away on June 17, 2013 in Lakin, Kansas.
Survivors include:
- Three Sons, Daniel Rupp of Chino Hills, California,
- Ronald Rupp of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida and
- Quintin Rupp of Cedar Park, Texas;
- One Brother, Adam Rupp of Dodge City, Kansas;
- Two Sisters, Elvira Billinger of Scott City, Kansas and
- Rita Rebel of Minneola, Kansas;
- Three Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Three Brothers, John, Frank & Mike Rupp, Four Sisters, Catherine Zimmerman, Mary Eggers, Pauline Kaiser & Julia Stoecklein, and One Grandson, Matthew Rupp.
Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.
Friends may call from 1:00-5:30pm on Monday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorials be given to the Knights of Columbus in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
