Orman: Begins Senate Campaign in Southwest Kansas

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) He is looking to play the role of spoiler in the race for Senate and will begin his campaign with stops in Garden City and Dodge City Wednesday and Thursday.  Independent Greg Orman has challenged three term incumbent Pat Roberts for his seat in Congress.  One of the issues Orman wants to fix is healthcare reform and what it was design to do.

Tying in with the key issue of healthcare is the budget.  Orman believes Congress has overstretch its commitments and has made coming up with the solution difficult.

Orman believes keeping our social safety net while not bankrupting programs has become a big area of concern.  One program being held under a microscope is social security.

So here is the question Orman would ask to determine the viability of a program.

Orman will make a campaign stop Thursday night at the Dodge House from 7:30-9pm.
