Officials Make Final Push Before March 4th Vote

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) In a public forum sponsored by the Garden City Chamber and Downtown Vision, city and county officials put their best foot forward Monday night.  They were making the case to vote yes on extending a ¼ penny sales tax extension March 4.  Finney County Commissioner Larry Jones on why the public commitment is important.  

The land is just west of the current juvenile detention center.  Despite historically low turnouts this time of the year, Jones believes this is the right time to hear from voters.

The total project will cost a little more than six million dollars.
