Wichita Police Arrest Former GCCC Instructor Wanted in Child Porn Case

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A former instructor at Garden City Community College has been arrested in Wichita and is expected to be charged with sexual exploitation of a minor concluding an investigation that started two years.

Garden City Police say they discovered child pornography on 62 year old Steve Thompson’s work computer. A search was also done on Thompson’s residence, vehicles and computer equipment in attempts to uncover any more evidence against him.

Thompson was arrested on Friday where he currently resides and works as a math teacher in the school district. The suspect has been booked into the Sedgwick County jail.
