No. 7 Buffaloes in January Jam Semi-Finals For the First Time in 8 Years-Audio
Garden City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – The No. 7 Garden City High School Buffalo boys shot free throws well down the stretch, hitting 6 of 7 charities in the 4th quarter and 8 of 12 for the game to beat Junction City 62-59 in the oepning round of the 2013 January Jam at Valley Center on Thursday. With the victory the Buffaloes are now 8-3 on the season and will play in the Semi-finals of their Mid-Season Tournament for the first time in over 8 years. Garden City had three players in double figures, led by senior Austin Terpstra with 13 and juniors Emillo Parr and Hunter Delgado added 12 each to lead the Buffaloes over the BlueJays. Buffalo Head Coach Jacy Holloway comments in the post game report about his teams performance and hitting some clutch free throws in the closing moments of their first round game.
