Nichols: Terrorism Charge Could Bring Life Sentence
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The man accused of holding Chief District Judge Wendell Wurst at gunpoint in his own home May 31st could get life in prison if convicted on the most serious charge he is facing terrorism. 33 year old Jason Nichols made a court appearance via teleconference video Wednesday.
Justice Ricklin Pierce and 15th District Judge Jack Barr have scheduled a June 29th conference call to lay the framework for additional hearings. Nichols is making a request for a change of attorney and is currently being held on 1.3 million dollars bond.
