Nicholas J. Spanier, Jr.

Nicholas J. Spanier, Jr., age 88, died December 4, 2015 in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on June 22, 1927, Garden City, Kansas the son of Nicholas J. and Johanna Penka Spanier.

He owned his own company delivering Skelly fuel to farmers. After retiring he went to work for the Kansas Department of Transportation.

On Jan 13, 1951 he was united in marriage to Sylvia Weiser in New Mexico. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.

Calling hours are 1-8 p.m. on Sunday; 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.Monday; 10 a.m. till the service hour on Tuesday.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Homestead Assisted Living in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.

Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
