New KSHSAA State Wrestling Tournament Modified Schedule

2013 MODIFIED KSHSAA STATE WRESTLING SCHEDULE-ALL SITES

Friday, February 22

Gates open at 2:00 pm

* 2:00-3:30 pm: Weigh-ins

· 1 pound growth allowance

* 3:45 pm: Parade of Champions

* 4:00 pm: 1st Round Matches

* 2nd Round Matches, immediately following 1st round matches:

· Championship Quarterfinals – 2 mats/class

· 1st Round Consolation matches – 2 mats/class

* Weigh-ins for Saturday will take place at the conclusion of the 2nd round

· 1 additional pound growth allowance

Saturday, February 23

Gates open at 7:00 am

* 9:00 am: Championship Semifinals – 2 mats/class

Consolation Quarterfinals – 2 mats/class

* 12:30 pm: Consolation Semifinals – 4 mats/class

* 2:30 pm: Finals (wrestled on 3 mats, simultaneously)

Championship: 1 mat/class

3rd Place: 1 mat/class

5th Place: 1 mat/class

The Western Kansas Broadcast Center Sports Network stations will have coverage of the 2013 Tournament at the 6A, 4A and 3-2-1A sites. At 6A in Wichita at Hartman Arena, reports at the top of the hour starting at 5:00 pm Friday on 99.9 KWKR and Q97 covering Garden City and Dodge City teams. 4A at the Salina Bi-Centennial Center covering Ulysses and Hugoton it will be live coverage over the two days on Bob 106.7 and in 3-2-1A its reports at the top and bottom of the hour over the two days, at Fort Hays State University starting at 4:30 on Friday afternoon.
