Ness City school bus involved in accident on Tuesday night
NESS COUNTY, Kan. — The Ness City Eagles basketball boys team picked up an exciting 71-24 win at Dighton on Tuesday night. The bus ride home to follow would be a time to look back at the win and for others to catch up on some sleep. That is until the bus carrying the basketball players crashed heading eastbound on K-96.
The accident caused both lanes of K-96 to be closed while authorities worked the scene.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol there were no major injuries in the accident, but there were some minor ones.
Ness City High School’s Twitter account tweeted out “Lots of bumps and bruises! Lots of emotions! Lots of kids understandably shook up! But everyone is alive and relatively well including the driver.”
At latest check the KHP had not updated it’s crash log to give more information on the incident.
